Helen Denise of HiLin Life Products Wins Sharkette Tank and Women's Choice Award at Own It Ventures Conference and Pitch Expo for Women Entrepreneurs

NEW YORK, NY - March 27, 2013 -Helen Denise, Chief Executive Officer of HiLin Life Products is the Winner of Own It Ventures' Sharkette Tank Pitching competition, held at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City on March 20, 2013. Hilin Life Products was announced the winner after five companies entered the afternoon Sharkette Tank

HiLin Life offers products and services that improve a woman's general well being through unique reproductive health education combined with simple and effective tools. Ms. Denise pitched her fertility kit to a panel of Angel Investors representing six Angel Groups from the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas. In addition, the audience selected Ms. Denise for the Women's Choice Award for the best overall investor pitch.

Angel Investors representing six Angel Groups attended looking for the right investment opportunities. Among the investors was Kevin Harrington, Chairman and Founder of As Seen On TV, Inc. (ASTV), Mr. Harrington, who was an original investor Shark on the ABC hit television series Shark Tank, was also the afternoon keynote and joined both the Sharkette Tank and Product Pitch Tank.

Buyers from major and national retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, buyers for QVC, As Seen on TV, and a major New York based Retailers were onsite to sample and view products. Journalists from Forbes, USA Today, Esntrepreneur.com, The Next Women Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, CBS Radio (Joe Connolly), Huffington Post, and more heard success stories and got the scoop on the next big innovation and product hits.

In addition to the pitching rooms, more than 150 women gained insight on entrepreneurship. The Own It Ventures conference offers the opportunity to pitch and gain national exposure in the media, retail distribution with major chains, and investment funding through pitching competitions.
